On October 16, 2004, Sergio and I made plans with a few friends to go out for some drinks at Antigua's nightclub.
There was a male review going on that night that was being hosted by the radio station XL 106.7. Sergio was a little
hesitant about going, being that it was a male review, but since there were other guys going with us he gave into
our plans.
We were in the middle of a very crowded dance floor when he decided to start telling me how he felt about me and
what he saw in our future. While he was speaking Doc & Johnny from XL 106.7 are starting to announce the male
contestants for the review. I was trying to pay attention to him but was a little distracted with all of the commotion
that was going on at the stage...

Next thing I know I see him reach into his back pocket
and ask me “how much do you think I love you?” I
looked at him and started giggling; I wasn't sure what he
was up to but I knew it was something! That is when he
held a small black jewelry box in front of me, opened it
and asked me to marry him! I immediately started crying
and asked him if he was really serious or if it was a
joke!?! I just couldn't believe it was happening right
then and there, and so soon! I was so emotional! Before
I even got to say anything else all of my girlfriends
started screaming and congratulating me! Next thing I
know Doc & Johnny from XL 106.7 were pulling Sergio
and I up onto the stage, announcing our engagement to
the whole club! Everyone was cheering, clamping and of
course screaming out CONGRATULATIONS! I was so
embarrassed but at the same time so happy!!!
The rest of the evening I spent showing off my ring to
every girl at the club that kept coming up to me
congratulating us! It was great!!
