Our story begins during the Summer of 2003…
I was visiting my mother in New York. I had a friend come pick me up to go to a barbecue and Sergio
accompanied him, which is the first time that we had ever met. He was standing on my front steps with a mutual
friend when I opened the door and automatically made eye contact with him. I was instantly attracted to him, as
he says he was to me. But being that we had our significant others at that time, we didn't think much about it. I
left New York that summer hoping that it wouldn't be the last time I saw him.

I really enjoyed his company as a friend. A few months later
mutual friends of ours came to Florida for vacation without
him. But coincidentally one day I had picked up my friend’s
phone and it was Sergio! We talked for a few minutes and
exchanged email addresses. As time passed we kept in
touch every once in a while via email and on the phone. May
of 2004 came and I decided to move to New York to be closer
to my mom and the rest of my family. The same day I got to
New York I met up with Sergio. The first hug between us, the
first kiss we shared… It all happened on that day, and it felt
so right, so magical... From that first hug and kiss we felt the
chemistry, and I guess you can say the rest is history.

intention on not letting me go so easily. He had never been to Florida so he decided to drive down with me and
check it out. He fell in love with the environment, the life style and the idea of settling down with me. So he

family and his two daughters... During those months that we were apart he visited a few times. During one of
his last visits on October 16, 2004, Sergio proposed to me! I had no idea it was going to happen so soon! He
had it all planned out though. He and his oldest daughter Juliana shopped for my engagement ring in New York,
and she picked my ring out! It is very special to me because it not only came from Sergio but his daughter as
well. They both mean the world to me!
